1 hour away: Terme dei Papi
The Terme dei Papi offer the pleasure of immersing yourself in the monumental thermal pool of over 2000 m2, fed exclusively with thermal water from the Bullicame spring: a precious invigorating bath for skin care both in winter and summer.
The remains of Roman baths extend for eleven kilometers along the ancient Via Cassia, on the outskirts of Viterbo, becoming particularly important near the three main thermal baths: Aquae Passeris, Paliano, and, most importantly, Bullicame. Extensive documentation attests to the great importance of the Viterbo thermal area since ancient times, as attested by the writings of Strabo, Tibullus, Symmachus, Martial, and Scribonius Largus, physician to Emperor Tiberius.
The Terme dei Papi are open all year round, including holidays and pre-holidays, from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm.
